(More customer reviews)I'm handicapped and do a lot of sitting, and needed an air cushion to help ease the pain--they make a great deal of difference in pressure points on the behind. I had gotten two of these waffle cushions from my stay at the hospital for knee surgery (they used them under my legs). I didn't know at the time they were bariatric cushions. We used one for my mom when she was living with me during her final stages of cancer. It made a big difference for her--it helped with the pressure points, especially on her tailbone. Unfortunately, they don't last as long as they should--I and my mom both weighed under 300 pounds, much less than the 700 pound limit, but they don't hold up for more than 3 months, even with not over-inflating or over use. I had hoped that this model was sturdier than the one I brought home from the hospital, but it seems to be the exact same thing. I can in no way imagine that this item is worth what I paid. Really--can you imagine paying $80-$100 for a plastic air cushion with no cover? I wish I had researched it a little better, but I was desperate. The pluses are its size (very ample) and the fact that it does work very well when it is not leaking. However, next time, I will try another brand.
