(More customer reviews)I was looking for a commode/shower chair to take on trips because sometimes "accessible" hotel rooms do not meet all my needs.
The picture shows an opening in the seat, but there is an insert included so that when it is not being used as a commode chair, it is a solid seat. I liked the fact that I won't have to purchase a separate cushion.
This chair has the arms which tilt up and back and the wheels are at a lower height, which makes transfer from bed or chair very easy. Plus, the chair itself is very comfortable.
One added advantage which I didn't expect is that the seat is taller than typical wheelchairs, which makes getting up and down out of the chair easier (I sometimes walk with crutches).
All in all, I feel this chair will help me be even more independent.
