(More customer reviews)Received the product quickly, in excellent condition, and it was easy to assemble, even for someone with arthritis. However, it was not exactly as described in the online product information.
A HUGE discrepancy is the fact that the online information clearly states that this cane has a "500 lb. Weight Capacity". The literature and label that came affixed to the cane stated that the product has a weight capacity of only 300 lbs.
My cane has one adjusting pin (button), only on one side. After a secondary review, the picture my vendor (Continental Medical) provided shows this and does not advertise "dual push button release" as most of the Amazon vendor ads do for this same product.
However, I truly expected two pins (buttons), one higher than the other. The single push button does seem to work easily, but does not provide the security of two separate pins. The picture currently provided online for other Amazon vendors of this product shows one pin going through both sides of the cane. To me, that is still less desirable than two separate, vertically-stacked pins.
One advantage to this cane is that it works well for people of shorter height. Most of canes I considered started at a height that was too tall. The locking ring, visible in the online photo, also adjusts easily and there is no rattling. The wrist strap provided no personal benefit and was attached by a metal loop that reminded me of a smaller version of the metal loops that typically attach tags to dog collars. I removed it immediately as I could not imagine using it anyway, because of the cane's weight. The cane is heavy, but the grip does feel secure and comfortable and the wide tip gives a secure step. It appears to have a quality finish.
Overall: This cane suits my intended purpose, so far seems reliable and stable, and was a good price when I purchased it on sale. I was very disappointed that the weight limit was drastically different than advertised and that there was only one push button to adjust the height vs. two, which is a common feature found on many "drugstore" canes and would seem to make a bariatric cane more secure. I have only had this cane for two months and, because of weather and my limited mobility, have used it outdoors and on streets only 5-6 times. So far, it has performed well but I don't feel that I received all the benefits that were described in the online product information.
