(More customer reviews)The aluminum frame is great. The optional steel footrest frame eventually rusts and drips black on the floor. The seat does not have enough support, we have broken 3 (they split at the front). The wheels are also steel frame so we replaced them with twin wheel plastic ones.

(More customer reviews)I was looking for a commode/shower chair to take on trips because sometimes "accessible" hotel rooms do not meet all my needs.
The picture shows an opening in the seat, but there is an insert included so that when it is not being used as a commode chair, it is a solid seat. I liked the fact that I won't have to purchase a separate cushion.
This chair has the arms which tilt up and back and the wheels are at a lower height, which makes transfer from bed or chair very easy. Plus, the chair itself is very comfortable.
One added advantage which I didn't expect is that the seat is taller than typical wheelchairs, which makes getting up and down out of the chair easier (I sometimes walk with crutches).
All in all, I feel this chair will help me be even more independent.

(More customer reviews)I was really excited to finally get a new bath chair for my husband who is paralized. The wheels on the one we have were giving out. When I purchased this product it sounded like the perfect chair for the price. I was disappointed with the hieght of the chair...it sits way low and I lift my husband off the chair onto the bed after his shower etc....the seat is really hard so I purchased a soft seat to be straped on the commode. Then his back hurt from the bar, and I had to invent a pillow back to slide on when he is on the comode longer. I didn't even think of those things when purchasing this product. This chair would be great for someone with a small stature, but not for a grown man.
