(More customer reviews)I bought this item because my senior Mom has a bad knee and ankle and an arthritic spine. She is mobile, but cannot walk long distances. We took a trip to Las Vegas in April 2007 and this Drive transport chair make that trip possible for her!! We easily went through the airport, gate checked it at the airplane enterance, and it was brought right up when we landed. Manuvered over all types of flooring in the Las Vegas casinos and performed like a champ on the streets - smooth and easy to push (and very comfortable for Mom!). Folds up in a snap and is light when putting in the trunk. We were asked by many where we got it - Amazon is hands-down the best priced and the free shipping is great! I did a lot of research! We bought a bag for ours to make it easier for the airline people to carry and not lose pieces (foot rest pieces can come off only when moving the empty chair, and can be lost if separated from the chair by handlers). The bag is good for storing the chair at home when not in use, too. WE LOVED IT - easily handled a 260 lb. person - very sturdy and well made!
