(More customer reviews)This is an excellent product being used by a family member who is disabled. It has considerably eased the discomfort that comes from sitting in a wheelchair all day. It eases pain that previously was felt on the pressure points and also eliminated the sores that sometimes accompany this situation.
I would highly recommend this cushion it has been a godsend and eased the worry re pressure point sores. It is expensive but to me worth every penny as the other air flotation cushions that were used were no where near as effective nor as comfortable as the Roho cushion.really a worthwhile investment.

(More customer reviews)I did a lot of research into many different seat cushions and decided on this one. It was a little more expensive than the others, but well-worth it. My husband is a big guy (6'8", 300 lbs.) and drives truck, so he needed something to ease the pain in his tailbone that would last. This product does just that. Naturally, I had to purchase the largest one, but they have many sizes and thicknesses to choose from to suit your particular body size. Also, this cushion is not on a slope like many of them are, which I've heard may make the problem worse. This works perfectly-even for bigger people and that's hard to find!

(More customer reviews)I am a woman with arthritis and MS and am dealing with a crazy amount of pain and tightness in the sacroiliac (SI) joint. I traveled on an airplane recently and tried to simulate what this type of pillow would do with a jacket (no luck). I knew I needed to research and buy a coccyx pillow asap.
I decided on this one over a ring shape because I thought that the shape and memory foam would be more useful in the car, on planes, sitting in meetings or just sitting at the kitchen table. It's been nice and provides a great amount of relief. I've been concerned about the potential for pressure sores for me (I do not use a wheelchair but sit a lot and have very little natural cushion on my tush). This is a nice cushion. Firm enough to seem like it will hold up for some time and with a durable cover and handle.
5 stars.
UPDATE Jan 25 - I love this thing and am going to buy two more (1 for each car). I feel like Linus with his blanket ... I tote the this cushion all over the place :) Simple, logical relief.

Pros:
Very Comfortable. Conforms to shape of your butt and provides great cushioning. Cover looks good and is soft enough. Comes with a nice pump and some repair patches in case it develops pinholes. Easy to inflate with the pump and can be adjusted easily to your personal preference.
Cons:
Vinyl may be easy to damage, especially if over-inflated (its easy to over-inflate). This particular cushion is fairly small and will not cover any but the smallest-seated task chair.
Other Thoughts:
This is one of the best purchases I have ever made. I sit for long hours on a task chair at my computer, and I was developing a painfully fatigued rear. This cushion makes my computer seat almost as comfortable as my La-Z-Boy.
The only complaint I have about this cushion is that it runs a little small. If your chair seat is large, it might be more comfortable to switch it out (your chair) for a smaller seated chair and use the cushion on it, which is what I did. Alternatively you could buy one of this company's larger cushions, not specifically made for task chairs, but I haven't tried this myself.
This cushion is made of vinyl and is inflatable. But don't confuse this with those horrible air mattresses. This cushion is comprised of many small interconnected chambers that distribute weight and conform to your shape. Properly inflated, it is easily the most comfortable cushion I have ever used. Amazingly comfortable, in fact.
Be careful not to over-inflate this cushion. Not only will it not be comfortable, you might damage it. Use the pump just until the chambers look barely filled, then sit on the cushion and let air out until it feels right, then tighten the valve to close the air in. If you need to adjust it again, the included pump makes it easy.
If you are suffering from a sore butt from sitting on your office chair, you need this cushion. It made my computer sessions go from miserable to almost enjoyable. I know this review sounds like a sales-pitch, but test this thing out and you will be trying to sell it to your friends, too.

(More customer reviews)I have tried several lumbar back cushions and seat cushion. This is my overwhelming favorite - the gel is firm and comfortable to sit on. I have found the regular foam pillows to be insufficiently supportive and too bulky. This cushion supports the natural curve of my spine, eliminating back and psoas muscle strain. The only challenge is that in a car, you'll need to adjust your car seat for the added height of the cushion. I own 4 of these for the cars, as well as kitchen and office chairs.

(More customer reviews)I recently searched for a very firm seat cushion to relieve the stress on my back muscles and tailbone when I sit for long periods of time flying across the country on those ancient 30 yr old airline seats. I purchased this cushion and 2 other competitors to try at home prior to taking this cushion on my last last trip. The cushion was fantastic. I will never fly again without it - in fact, I am using it at home on a few chairs to provide firmer support. This cushion fits perfectly within the airline seat area, provides great firm support, does not compress or fatigue while in use (I am a big guy), and its handle is very convenient when de-boarding; I am very pleased with the solid blue color. I plan to buy a second cushion soon. I am very hard to please and this cushion is Best in Class! Kudos to the designer and company.

(More customer reviews)Roho has been called "the Cadillac of wheelchair cushions" by physical therapists for good reason. It simply is the best. I have tried all the imitators...VicAir, for one, promoted by The Comfort Company whose triangular air balls can actually cause, not prevent sacrum wounds. Jay gel cushions have hard foam casings in which the gel pad lies, perhaps good enough for minimal skin breakdown risks, but I have had five stage 4 sacrum ulcerations and only the Roho wheelchair cushion has provided protection. Stay away from the Medline and other generic brands. Yes, the Roho is high maintenance and it's seams can
spring leaks under excessive stress, but take it from one paraplegic, confined to a wheelchair, who has had so many sacrum wounds, anything less than the Roho, or at least the Jay, is asking for more problems.

(More customer reviews)If you are riding in a wheelchair you are not a happy camper to begin with. The fold-up wheelchairs have flexible canvas seat that is functional and barely comfortable. My wife broke her kneecap and was stuck, when traveling, in a wheelchair with one leg pointing straight out. She could not ride for long without becoming more uncomfortable than she already was, so I took a chance on this cushion and she was much much happier. The foam is very good quality, forms to your contours based on heat, quickly springs back when you get off it. It made a world of difference for her. And now she is out of the wheelchair we use it on an outdoor furniture chair. A high quality useful product.

(More customer reviews)When a family member developed a pressure sore from too much sitting, a friend told me that a sheepskin might help. I couldn't find a wheelchair cushion cover made from sheepskin, so I purchased this polyester-backed lambswool cushion cover instead. Like sheepskin, it wicks perspiration away from the body, and it provides a little bit of extra cushioning. The lambswool cover helped to take pressure off so that the sore could be treated successfully (in a person who is fairly mobile and no longer wheelchair-bound).
This cover is luxurious and good-looking, and the family member loves it! It fits a large (3" x 16" x 18") pincore latex foam wheelchair cushion. The one drawback is that the two small Velcro closing tabs do not hold the cover securely in place over a large cushion. I solved this problem by adding safety pins.
The only real sheepskin covers that I could find are designed to fit over both the back and seat of the wheelchair (for example, Wheelchair Seat Cover Sheepskin Pad Natural - Wooly Bully #WCC). This lambswool cushion cover was a better solution for my household, because the family member did not like the idea of the full wheelchair cover.

My car is only 4 1/2 year old, yet I finally figured out it was likely the seat, and I could not adjust the angle of the seat so that I didn't have this problem. I decided that a cushion which propped me up so that I wasn't sinking down in the seat might help avoid the swelling in my legs.
I purchased this cushion after looking at the reviews for all the others, and this one looked the best. It is really comfortable, seems durable so far, and I have not had any more issues with circulation/numbness while driving. Problem solved!

(More customer reviews)I bought this product based on its good reviews and that it appeared to be made of gel rather than foam--afterall, it is called "Gel seat cushion." I figured it would be the same gel material foudn in the jelly wrist rests for the keyboard and mouse and wouldn't compact the way foam does. I took the cover off--it is ALL FOAM in there. Thsi is a problem for me because the foam just compacts and then I end up with pressure on my tailbone. Maybe I'm just too skinny and my weight doesn't disperse right across the foam cushion so I just sink down. I still have tailbone pain using this FOAM cushion.
