(More customer reviews)This is an excellent product being used by a family member who is disabled. It has considerably eased the discomfort that comes from sitting in a wheelchair all day. It eases pain that previously was felt on the pressure points and also eliminated the sores that sometimes accompany this situation.
I would highly recommend this cushion it has been a godsend and eased the worry re pressure point sores. It is expensive but to me worth every penny as the other air flotation cushions that were used were no where near as effective nor as comfortable as the Roho cushion.really a worthwhile investment.

Roho Mosaic Cushion, 16" X 16" Review

It's interconnected air bladders (each about 3" square) spread the pressure from sitting over a wide area, relieving spot pressure on the bony protrusions at the base of the pelvis. It weighs only about 1 lb. and comes with a lightweight cover and a small, easy-to-use hand pump which inflates it quickly. It's typically used for wheelchairs but can be used anywhere. It's also indicated for preventing, or while healing from, stage 1 or 2 pressure sores. After getting stage 1 pressure sores from a week-long work session improperly seated on a hard chair with my thighs elevated by a footstool (transferring all my weight back to the base of the pelvis), I couldn't sit at all until I got this cushion, which gave me immediate relief. The cover has a fabric handle and is easy to carry for use in the car or anywhere; I even took it on a train and carried it around a city in a large tote bag. A month later, with my pressure sores much better, I still use this cushion and maybe always will, at least on hard chairs, because of its comfort.

The back of my legs don't sweat in my pleather office chair, and the cushion worked awesome on bleachers at my son's football games. All of the parents went out and bought one after seeing mine. Fortunately, I have not had to try it in a wheel chair, but I bet it would work great.

(More customer reviews)We needed a couple of gel cushions that we could cut into the right sizes and shapes for different surfaces for my handicapped father to prevent pressure sores. Virtually all other vendors selling cushions already have them in covers which you pay for even if you aren't going to use them. We didn't want the extra expense of the covers just to toss them out. These cushions are great, better than many you'll pay nearly double for, and they have the advantage - for us - of being in their raw state so we can cut them and make our own covers as needed. We have purchased these twice now.

(More customer reviews)I purchased this cushion for my wheelchair bound mother. She has found it very comfortable. I have one problem with it. It's shipped flat with just gell-pellets in it. You have to fill it with water to activate the gell. You are instructed to keep the cushion flat while filling it with water. I managed to do this by placing it on a large tray. It became very hard to hold up to the faucet getting heavier and heavier as it filled. I also was never able to get the water into the corners no matter how hard I tried. All-in-all it is a good, comfortable cushion once you get it filled.

Everything I tried before this, would go flat and *stay flat* This, at least refills itself with air after the night or a long time passes where I am not sitting on it, but.......it still goes flat and has very little thickness to it after I have sat for awhile, but is still better than the chair itself with little or no cushion and does help some, so I will use it until I can find something better....

MABIS Convoluted Polyfoam Wheelchair Cushion Review

(More customer reviews)Soft foam, mostly 2 inches, not 3 inches thick. The convolutions (like an egg carton) occasionally bring it up to 3 inches, but once you sit on it, everything crushes down to next-to-nothing, almost instantly.
Luckily (for me), I was only planning to use it to cushion my office chair, not a wheelchair.
Recommendation: don't waste your money.

It needs someway to attach to the chair so that it stays put when trying to sit down. It has a tendency to slide back or to one side or the other. The outer covering could be made of a less clingy fabric so that it stays put. You just have to fidget with it too much.

(More customer reviews)purchased this for a pc chair project of mine, it did take some fine tuning as far as how much water to add, and i did end up buying more gel for it before i got it just perfect, stock as it comes there isnt enough gel inside to get the right consistency and be high enough that it doesnt bottom out against itself, i added 35g Sodium Polyacrylate Diaper Polymer/magic snow cost 4.50 dont pay 18$ for refill kit here, once i got the correct consistency and fullness that it doesnt bottom against itself it is SUPER nice, the manufacturer should provide a plastic water measuring bag or specify a specific amount but they dont, i added 35g of polyacrylate to what was inside and filled to on a flat surface a measured 1 3/4 thick and its perfection,gel is thick enough to be weight bearing without bottoming but just fluid enough to move through the baffles inside if you rock from side to side.. the actual bag is quite heavy duty heavy mil plastic comes with fill spout and corner tie downs, great product and idea but the fill instructions and gel quantity lack so cost it a star but overall im happy with my purchase and recommend this 100% to anyone has to sit all day

(More customer reviews)I got this cushion for my dad to use in his wheelchair and in regular arm chairs. It is great in the wheelchair. Super comfortable, very dense gel cushion which really distributes the weight well. The cushion itself is surprisingly heavy and has a handle loop on the side to help carry it. The bottom of the cushion has a slightly rubbery feel which helps it grip the chair and keeps it from shifting, while the blue top cover is more like a windbreaker material which is very slippery so it is easy for him to shift his weight. HOWEVER, when this cushion is in a regular chair, as he leans a bit over the table to eat, the cushion compresses so his butt starts to slide forward. For now, we will only be using this in his wheelchair - but it is a great cushion.
